In March 2013 the Arch Stanton Quartet went on a tour of Egypt sponsored by the U.S. Embassy, AMIDEAST Egypt and the American University in Cairo. The tour included two sets at the Cairo International Jazz Festival. The tracks on this album were recorded at Al Azhar Park on the second night of the jazz festival.
